Zone 40 is an adventure camp for primary kids in years 3 to 6.

Camp 1: Sat 28th- Mon 30th Sept 2024

Camp 2: Mon 30 Sept – Thurs 3rd Oct 2024

Kids will spend three or four days camping, doing adventurous activities and making friends. Adventurous activities may include abseiling, bush walking, caving, camp fires and night wide games.

The camp is held on a working sheep and goat farm. There is a mix of sleeping in tents and bunk rooms, using basic bathroom facilities with both flush and pit loos and not showering every day. While this may sound like they are really ‘roughing it’, they are well cared for by an amazing team of volunteer leaders, eat hearty home cooked meals and lots of fun is shared. Expect your kids to come home grubby, exhausted and with lots of stories of adventure to share.

At SU camps we have interactive session about what Christians believe in a fun and non-pressurizing way. Our desire is for the kids to have fun, feel a sense of belonging and make new friends.

What to expect

To get more of an idea of what to expect at camp, here is the booklet from last year with more information including a timetable. We will make a new version of this booklet closer to camp, and there will be changes but it will give you more of an idea of what sort of things to expect. Zone 40 Social Story 2022
